Cordia Matches Employee Donations to the Police Benevolent Association

PBF Officers

On Saturday, February 27, 2016 officers Jesse Hempen, David McKeown, and rookie officer, Ashley Guindon, responded to an emergency call in Woodbridge, Virginia.  All three officers were shot and officer Ashley Guindon succumbed to her wounds within a few hours.  Officers Hempen and McKeown are expected to survive but remain hospitalized.

In the wake of this tragedy so close to where we call home, Cordia is encouraging its employees to donate to support the fallen officers and their families, and matching employee donations dollar for dollar.    The Police Benevolent Foundation and the Virginia Division Police Benevolent Association (VDPBA) are rallying behind the family of fallen officer, Ashley Guindon, as well as wounded officers, Jesse Hempen and David McKeown.  100% of proceeds donated to the VDPBA will go to help the officers and their families.

If you choose to donate, please go to https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/princewilliamofficers (there are several GoFundMe pages that have popped up lately; please do not donate to these pages as they are not legitimate according to the Prince William County Police).

During these times, it is important for local businesses to engage in the community that surrounds it, and do everything you can to help.  If your business is involved in local fundraising efforts we would love to hear about it.  Please feel free to share your story with us on our Facebook or LinkedIn pages.
